1.         The facility ofs footpath should be used if available.

 

2.         If there is no footpath, always walk on the right side of the road so that you can see the traffic coming from opposite side.

 

Keep in mind to:

     Ø Walk in single file and keep close to the right side of the road;

     Ø Keep the children to the extreme right.

 

Crossing the Road

 

3.         The facility of zebra crossing, overhead bridge or underpass should be used wherever it is available.

 

4.         If there is no facility available for road crossing then first of all see to your right hand side and  then to your left-hand side, when both sides are clear then go straight across the road.

 

5.         Be vigilant while crossing. If the traffic appears suddenly, do not run.

 

6.         Where there are pedestrian safety barriers, cross the road only at the gaps provided for pedestrians. Do not climb up the barriers.
